1. I was asked to run (I’m not seeking glory for myself).
2. I made it a matter of prayer.
3. I asked the opinion of my wife, my children, and about a dozen local longtime community leaders. It was a resounding and unanimous “yes, do it”.

5. I have no hidden agenda and enjoy serving others.

     I, Dan O’Barr, have not done anything to threaten, belittle, or make fun of other candidates, elected officials, employees of Wasilla, Palmer, Mat-Su Borough, the School district, or State and Federal government. All three of my opponents have done this in public, private, and by writing letters to the editor. I have NO beef with or ax to grind for any Borough department or City. This one fact will make it much easier for me to serve you.

     Be it known that NO “special interest group” or their members are financing Dan O’Barr and I have NO favors to “repay”. If you want more unity in the Borough, better schools, safer neighborhoods, and someone who will listen to you, your best choice is Dan O’Barr, a problem solver. I will honestly do everything possible to serve you and the needs of ALL residents of The Matanuska-Susitna Borough. I would appreciate your vote on October 1st.
